The Department of General Medicine provides comprehensive care for adult
patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, functioning as a
primary hub for internal medicine training and bedside teaching.
General Surgery offers a wide spectrum of elective and emergency
surgical services, with a strong focus on safe operative practices,
peri-operative care and skills-based surgical training.
The Ophthalmology department delivers comprehensive eye care services,
including cataract, glaucoma and retina clinics, along with community
outreach screening programmes.
The Anatomy department forms the foundation of medical education,
integrating gross anatomy, histology and embryology through
cadaveric dissection and modern teaching tools.
Physiology focuses on understanding normal body functions and forms a
bridge between basic science and clinical practice through didactic

The Department of Cardiology at PDDU University of Health Sciences, Karnal
provides comprehensive cardiac care ranging from preventive cardiology to

Department Overview
The Department of Cardiology offers comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic
and rehabilitative cardiac services. The team manages a wide spectrum of
cardiac conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure,
valvular heart disease, arrhythmias and congenital heart disease.
Equipped with modern cardiac care units, non-invasive labs and catheterization
facilities (when commissioned), the department integrates patient care
with training of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
